 A PSA for all you application developers out there: Google has updated the Android Market Developer Distribution Agreement "in preparation for some work we’re doing on introducing new payment options, which we think developers will like." Here's what's been added, though damned if we understand it. - In Section 13.1, “authorized carriers” have been added as an indemnified party.
- Section 13.2 is new in its entirety, covering indemnity for payment processors for claims related to tax accrual.

For all you HTC lovers out there, there’s some good news. While there was fear that Android 3.0 (or Gingerbread) would completely disable manufacturer skins, HTC is apparently not worried about their Sense overlay. Forbes recently interviewed David Bamford, the design lead of HTC, and offered up this nugget of information:

Back in January, we published the first benchmarks of Debian GNU/kFreeBSD: the spin of Debian that replaces the Linux kernel with the FreeBSD kernel while retaining most of the same GNU user-land and it uses the GNU C library. With those original tests comparing Debian GNU/Linux to Debian GNU/kFreeBSD, the Linux version ended up winning in 18 of the 27 tests.
